Apple Watch Crushes The Smartwatch Market
According to IDC figures, the smart watch of Apple Roundup more than 53% of sales in 2017 leaving crumbs to competition. Apple refuses to give its Watch sales figures but according to IDC, the smartwatch flows as a small bread. Apple would have elapsed to no less than 8 million copies during the last quarter of 2017 against 5 million a year earlier, representing a growth of 57%. A figure identical to that delivered by Canalys, a few weeks ago. Which is a new record for wearables sold by a company in a quarter. Fitbit was the previous record holder, reminds Canalys, with 6.1 million units in the fourth quarter of 2015. Considering the strict market of the smartwatch (and), the firm won 60% of the market in Q4 (!) and 53% for the whole year with 17.7 million copies sold.
