The German Parliament, under the Fancy Bear group
The news was revealed by local media, based on sources within the German intelligence services. This attack has been ongoing for more than a year. According to the DPA News Agency, a cybercriminal group would be able to seep into a central computer system of the German Federal administration. This network, known as the "Berlin Bonn information network" is an important network for the German administration. It is notably used by both houses of Parliament, but also by the Chancery, the Court of Auditors, the departments as well as the Chancery and the German security services. Attack would have been detected by German intelligence towards the end of the year 2017. But as the world, the Group cyber criminal responsible for the intrusion could have penetrated the network for more than a year.
